About Sandpoint
Computers
Sandpoint Computers began as Curtis
Networking Services
in 1997, and opened it's retail doors on the corner of First and Pine
street in downtown Sandpoint in November. We have been servicing the
North Idaho region's computers ever since. The three leading engineers
are Chris Curtis, Carol
Curtis and Dawn Linendoll.
Chris Curtis has been working with component level
electronics and computers since the early 80's. He has been employed by
IBM, Northrup Grumming, NASA, Compucom and Tate Engineering. He has
worked on every type of computer introduced including Tandy, Commodore,
IBM clones, IBM, and more. He has worked with Unix, Linux, Windows,
DOS, and Macintosh. Chris is an amateur radio operator and a genuine
expert who loves to tinker with new open source applications.
Dawn Linendoll has been working with computers since
high school. She joined the Navy and specialized in computer
operations, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. She has been in
management with Novell, Egghead software, Software Spectrum and early
eighties, and is particularly good with Microsoft Exchange and Novell.
Dawn prefers spending her free timeriding horses or playing golf rather
than tinkering with computers.
Carol Curtis was a contract specialist in procurement
with the USDA and the Department of Energy. She was the contracts
manager at Egghead and later at Software Spectrum. She was the Bonner
County IS Director prior to the department being outsourced. When Carol
is not working she is busy with two beautiful children, Kelly and
Shane.
